Been here twice now and coming back tonight. First time was lunch for their Repeal petite fillet which is topped with a buttered king crab. AB.SO.LUTELY amazing. Quite possibly one of the best steaks I've had. You cannot go wrong with this one. Service is great, ambience is classy and comfortable. Second trip was also lunch and got the French Dip. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Coming back for dinner tonight to celebrate with friends and will definitely be trying another dish.
One of Louisville's best new eateries for sure. It can be a bit pricey, but the quality is well worth it. -

Our usual date night choice is Jeff Ruby's but when we heard a new steak house had opened up, we had to try it. Reading some of the reviews, I was half expecting lackluster service and long wait times due to it being a new restaurant. Let me tell you, that was not the case for us.
Our server's name was Brian and he was wonderful. Great attention to detail, even checked to make sure our parking had been validated. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and so accommodating.
My husband is hard to please when it comes to Old Fashioneds and said their Signature Old Fashioned was among the best he's ever had. I had the Pineapple Mule and it was sublime.
The steaks were done perfectly and unbelievably tender. I ordered the filet and my husband had the bone-in. For sides, we had Mac and cheese and the broccoli. Both were tasty. I only wish they had Brussels Sprouts, truly the only thing missing for me.
We skipped dessert because we were stuffed but the Bread Pudding sounded more than amazing.
Update: We had the chance to dine at Repeal again and this time I promised myself at the start of the meal that I would save room for the Bread Pudding. I managed the feat by only ordering one side, ha! It was definitely worth it. I also tried the French Onion Soup which was incredible. It could be a whole meal in itself, especially if you ordered a salad. -

Went here for my birthday celebration on Christmas Eve. The ambiance is very nice and I love the way the place is set up and decorated. The chairs are exceptionally comfortable and all of the servers were extremely knowledgeable of the dishes and drinks, it seemed like they had worked there for years. We had lots of questions and they were helpful with suggestions.
As an appetizer we had the carrots they were delicious, and had a slight mint taste to them.
For my meal, I had the truffle spaghetti and added 2 scallops. The noodles and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The only think I was slightly surprised by is that there was a distinct mushroom taste in the pasta, but that could have been listed on the menu and I just didn't fully read it.
My boyfriend had the hanger steak (cooked perfectly) with a side of the Mac n cheese and creamy spinach. I ate some of the spinach and it was so delicious.
Overall it was a good experience but unfortunately nothing stood out to me as fabulous which is why I'm doing 4 instead of 5 stars. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't say anything about it being my boyfriend because I know it was mentioned when we made the reservations. -

My wife and I decided to stop by Repeal for a cocktail before our show at the Kentucky Center. My wife had the house Old Fashioned and I riding the Keto wave had a soda water and tequila with a lime. You really can't screw up my drink so it was good, my wife's was really good. The bar is pricey which fits the atmosphere and the menu. The only question we have is how is the food in this restaurant. After looking at the menu we agreed that we will be back for the restaurant experience. I love a good meal and atmosphere. If it delivers I will adjust our rating. Looking forward to our dinner date next week.

Lunch with friends staying at aloft across the street.
Food:
Wedge salad w Gorgonzola dressing and blue crab bisque
Wedge salad with salmon
Beet salad
French dip sandwich
Salads were excellent. The bacon on the wedge salad was thick and perfect. The beet salad was an interesting flavor but mixed with the goat cheese cream base it went very well.
No report on the bisque as I forgot to ask. French dip sandwich was OK. The au jus and horseradish cream was excellent and beef was tender and tasty, the toasted bread was burnt a bit. I think if it wasn't for the bread it would have been one of the best FRENCH dip sandwiches I've had in a while.
